Are you buying a home that has an old slate roof? Confident that the roof will keep your family dry? Don’t make the mistake of buying a house with a slate roof without consulting a slate roofer. Hire someone that specializes in slate roofing, not shingle roofing, not tar roofing but slate roofing. There are probably half a dozen slate roofer’s in your area (if you are lucky). They seem to be sprouting like weeds in our market. Usually, your home inspector will recommend that a licensed slate roofer be consulted before an offer is made.
